Guacamole is a beloved Mexican dip made from ripe avocados, tangy lime, fresh cilantro, and zesty spices. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for serving with chips, tacos, or as a side dish to your favorite Mexican meals. Fresh, flavorful, and always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted

  • 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped

  • 1 small tomato, diced

  • 1-2 jalapeños, seeds removed and finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference)

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 1 lime, juiced

  • Salt, to taste

  • Pepper, to taste

Optional Garnishes:

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped

  • Pomegranate seeds

Instructions

  • Prepare the Avocados:

    • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.

    • Use a fork or potato masher to mash the avocado to your desired consistency (smooth or slightly chunky).

  • Add Vegetables:

    • Add the chopped red onion, tomato, and jalapeño to the mashed avocado. Stir to combine.

  • Season the Guacamole:

    • Mix in the cilantro and freshly squeezed lime juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
