Air Fryer Tofu is a crispy, golden, and protein-packed dish that’s quick to prepare and perfect for bowls, salads, wraps, or dipping. It uses minimal oil but delivers maximum crunch, making it a healthy and delicious plant-based option.

Ingredients

  • 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste (if needed)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for at least 20 minutes to remove excess moisture. Cut into cubes or bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, toss tofu with soy sauce, oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika (if using), pepper, and salt (if needed).
  3. Sprinkle in the cornstarch and toss gently to coat all pieces evenly.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Place tofu in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  6. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until tofu is golden and crispy.
  7. Serve as is or toss with your favorite sauce such as teriyaki, buffalo, or sweet chili.
