Air Fryer Chicken Tenders are crispy, juicy, and much healthier than their fried counterparts. With a crunchy exterior and tender interior, these chicken tenders are quick and easy to prepare, making them perfect for busy weeknights or game day snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders (or boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into strips)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil spray (or cooking spray)

Instructions

  1. Set up three shallow bowls: In the first, add the flour; in the second, beat the eggs; and in the third, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat each chicken tender by dredging it in the flour, dipping it in the egg, and then coating it with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it sticks.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil and arrange the coated chicken tenders in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  5. Serve hot with dipping sauces like honey mustard, BBQ, or ranch, and enjoy your crispy, juicy chicken tenders!

Notes

For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or chili powder to the breadcrumb mixture. For extra flavor, mix garlic powder and more Parmesan cheese into the breadcrumbs.Make them gluten-free by using gluten-free breadcrumbs and flour. For a twist, toss cooked tenders in buffalo sauce for a tangy, spicy version.
