Air fryer chicken nuggets are a healthier, crispy alternative to traditional fried nuggets. Made with real chicken and minimal oil, they’re golden on the outside, juicy on the inside, and perfect for a quick meal or snack.

  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil (for greasing air fryer basket)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized nugget pieces.
  2. In a bowl, beat the eggs. In another bowl, add the flour. In a third bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, then dip in egg, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil.
  5. Place the coated chicken nuggets in a single layer in the basket without overcrowding.
  6. Air fry at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes
