Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup soft caramel candies, unwrapped
  • 1 1/2 cups kettle-cooked potato chips, lightly crushed

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour half of the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the caramel candies in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  6. Stir half of the crushed kettle chips into the melted caramel.
  7. Spread the caramel-chip mixture evenly over the chocolate layer in the pan.
  8. Pour the remaining chocolate mixture on top and gently spread to cover the caramel layer.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining crushed kettle chips over the surface and lightly press them into the fudge.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
  11. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang and cut into squares.
